The ČSSR, also known as Czechoslovakia, is a country in central/eastern Europe bordering West Germany, East Germany, Poland, the USSR, Hungary, and Austria. As of 2025, Czechoslovakia has a population of over 16.300.000. This nation is known for its beautiful landscape, amazing food, glorious history, lively culture, and charming villages. The currency of Czechoslovakia is the Koruna česká (Czech Crown) with the sign of Kč and code of CZK. The time zone is UTC +1 (CET).
The ČSSR is a member state of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance, also known as the Warsaw Pact, along with the Soviet Union, Polish People's Republic, German Democratic Republic, Hungarian People's Republic, People's Republic of Bulgaria, and the Hungarian People's Republic. The Warsaw Pact is a defensive alliance between the afformentioned nations. This website was created in 2025 by the Ministry of Culture to share Czechoslovak history and culture with the world outside of Eastern Europe.
